Lou Dog – A Sublime Tribute
Formed in 2025, Lou Dog came together out of a shared love for the music and culture of Sublime—a band that left a lasting imprint on all of us. More than just the songs, it was the spirit, the vibe, and the raw authenticity of Bradley Nowell that inspired us to bring this project to life. Lou Dog is our way of honoring that legacy while putting our own East Coast spin on a West Coast sound.
Fronting the band is Josh Brussell on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, bringing energy and soul to every performance. Josh is a familiar face across the East End music scene, playing with projects like LHT, The One Night Band, East Coast Ohana, and countless acoustic and solo sets—always aiming to channel the spirit of Brad and connect with the crowd in an authentic way.
On lead guitar is Mike “Mazz”, a detail-driven player whose ear for sound is second to none. Known not only for his guitar work but also as a skilled sound engineer, Mike brings depth and precision to the band—and if you’re lucky, you might catch a little Prince influence shining through.
Holding it all down is Jake on bass (and occasionally keys), laying a deep, steady groove that keeps everything full and grounded, while Aiden on drums drives the engine—keeping us tight, on track, and adding backing vocals that round out the sound.
Together, Lou Dog blends the laid-back, sun-soaked feel of Sublime with an East Coast edge—creating a live experience that’s all about good music, good people, and good times. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just looking to catch a vibe, our goal is simple: bring everyone together and keep the spirit alive.
